Speaking to Arabstoday, she explained her motivation behind accepting the offer, adding "the idea of this programme is new and different because there is focus on acting, maybe more than it being media work, which encouraged me to accept it rather than the other offers I had."
Omar also provided an update on her acting career: "I’m currently shooting for Ahl al-hawa, a drama depicting the life of the late Tunisian poet Piram al-Tunsi. I am playing the role of his ambitious and greedy wife, Ihsan," she said.
