Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane
Rabat - Redouane Mabchour

Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane has backed out of launching a newspaper to respond to press criticism of his Justice and Development party, Arab Today has learnt. A well-informed source claimed that the newspaper project has been dropped from the party’s agenda.
Benkirane was allegedly forced abandon the plan after the idea was strongly opposed to by his ministers. The party members cited the failure of a previously launched newspaper entitled Justice and Development – which closed months after its first issue due to low readership. The ministers asserted that the Moroccan public favour independent newspapers with objective opinions.
