All-news ŠKODA Octavia
ŠKODA’s critically acclaimed all-new Octavia has only been on sale for a few months but it’s clearly going to need its own trophy cabinet.
Hot on the heels of being voted ‘Tow Car of the Year’, the ŠKODA Octavia has taken class honours in the National Car Awards from reviews website WeLoveAnyCar.com. It was voted ‘Best Large Car’ by users, more than 58,000 of whom took part to rate hundreds of models from more than 40 brands. Ratings are based on economy, comfort, reliability and driving excitement.
ŠKODA as a brand also performed exceptionally well. It was voted ‘Best Overall Manufacturer’ and ‘Most Recommended’, as well as being ‘Best Diesel’ marque.
Meanwhile, the all-new Octavia has also earned a ‘Commended’ honour in the Next Green Car Awards 2013. In the ‘Large Family’ category the 1.6-litre TDI diesel earned praise from the judges.
Next Green Car uses its unique Green Car Rating to rank vehicles on seven different exhaust emissions, not just CO2. Available as a Hatch or Estate, the third generation ŠKODA Octavia has CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km and fuel economy as high as 74.3mpg. It’s packed with ‘Simply Clever’ driving solutions and seen as outstanding value for money.
