Lagerfeld's comments are sure to rile Adele's legion
Karl Lagerfeld has blasted Adele's appearance, labeling her "a little too fat" during a recent interview. He said: "The thing at the moment is Adele, she is a little too fat”. But realizing his comments may be controversial;
the fashion guru insisted she has “a beautiful face and a divine voice.”
The designer also came out in support of chart-topper Lana Del Rey, but he wondered whether she had ever gone under the knife. He said: "Lana Del Rey is not bad at all, she looks very much like a modern-time singer and in her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants."
Lagerfeld’s comments will be met with controversy as Adele has often spoken freely about her fluctuating weight. She has said in the past: “I enjoy being me; I always have done. I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life. It’s just never been an issue; at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.”
