Looks from the Jean Paul Gaultier spring-summer 2013 collection
Jean Paul Gaultier decided to pay homage to his favourite 1980s-era music style icons - many of whom he had dressed back in the day - with his spring 2013 collection during Paris Fashion Week. A giant disco ball, gyrating male dancers and a soundtrack of golden '80s oldies set the tone for the show.
The show was inspired by the
likes of Abba, Annie Lennox, Boy George, David Bowie, George Michael, Grace Jones, Madonna, Sade, Prince and of course, the stunning icon, Marilyn Monroe.
The collection featured a lot of tuxedos, bodysuits and slick black dresses, sleeve jackets and slouchy wide trousers. He also paid tribute to Michael Jackson with the iconic look of low-slung black pants and the famous red leather jacket which we absolutely loved.
