Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre (AMMROC)
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre, AMMROC, an Abu Dhabi-based company, has been selected to provide its maintenance, repair and overhaul, MRO, services for the Joint Aviation Command, JAC, of the UAE Armed Forces under an extensive agreement valued at Dh2.3 billion over 21 months.
This agreement is a key element of a joint strategy that will enable JAC to remain completely focused on the operation and deployment of the UAE's aircraft, while AMMROC provides MRO services. The new contract will provide the foundation for future growth that will allow JAC and AMMROC to enter into a Performance Based Logistics, PBL, arrangement when AMMROC opens its new centre of excellence at Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park.
Fahed Ghareeb Al Shamesi, CEO of AMMROC, said, "This contract represents the continuing fulfilment of UAE Armed Forces' longstanding vision to maintain all rotary and fixed wing aircraft through outsourced experts, enabling core JAC personnel to focus on operations and deployment. We look forward to growing our relationship with JAC over the coming years and to providing world-class support to their growing fleet." PBL arrangements represent a significant change in the approach to supplying military aviation MRO services in the UAE, highlighting AMMROC's commitment to implementing the latest industry support systems. Under this model, all material and maintenance activities are provided under a cost per flight hour model that provides greater flexibility to the UAE Armed Forces, while facilitating on-going efficiency improvements.
AMMROC is committed to providing innovative MRO solutions for the UAE Armed Forces and other military operators across South Asia, Middle East and North Africa. The company is poised for significant growth in the coming five years and its new facility in Al Ain will be one of the largest dedicated military MRO centres in the world, and will be an anchor tenant at Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park.
