Maputo ready for the challenge

Zimpeto-stadium The Mozambican capital Maputo will be from September 3 to 18, the meeting point of continenal sports with the holding of the 10th All Africa Games in which athletes from 48 countries will be involved and will compete in 26 sports.
The great merit of Mozambique is having respected its commitment to replace, Zambia, originally designated to host the largest meeting of African youth sports. This is a major challenge for African sport which always faces financial and timing problems.
Indeed, in April 2009, two years only before the African Games in 2011 the Supreme Council of African sport announced at a meeting of its Executive Committee in Yaounde, the award of the 10th edition 2011 All Africa Games, to Mozambique, following the withdrawal of Zambia for financial reasons.
This shows the major problem facing the highest body of African sport: find a city home to African Games, the largest multi-sport event in Africa.
