Barcelona arrive in Palestine on August 3 Players from Barcelona's first team will appear at a football clinic to be held in the Palestinian territories in August, the president of the Palestinian Football Federation (PFF) has confirmed.
Jibril Rajoub urged the people of Palestine to support the La Liga champions during their stay in Palestine. He added the the Spanish club's visit is an opportunity to highlight the Palestinian plight through sport.
Rajoub said that the Calatan giants would stay in Bethlehem for the duration of their trip. He explained that more than 40 Palestinian footballers will take part in a special event alongside the visitors at Dora International Stadium.
Several special committees have been formed to organise and oversee the event. The committees will be headed by notable Palestinian personalities such as Susan Shalabi Molano as a head of the coordinating committee, Mohamed Abu-Suroor as a head of the organising committee, Mazen al-Khatib as a head of the technical committee and Mahmoud Khalifa to head the media committee.
