Yemeni security delegation began, on Friday, a visit to the Saudi capital Riyadh, at the invitation of the Arab coalition, and on the back of security tensions in the Aden International Airport, during the last days.
The delegation includes Prime Minister's Deputy, Interior Minister, Hussein Arab, and security directors of the provinces of Aden, Lahij and Abyan, as well as the leaders of the security belt forces, which was formed after Houthis' defeat in the south of the country, mid-year 2015.
According to Yemeni sources, the visit came in response to a call by the command of the coalition, in the framework of consultation and exchange of the military and security experiences, as well as the coordination of the joint action aimed to restore security. The sources did not mention the names of the officials who will meet the delegation.
The visit comes in the wake of security disruptions in Aden International Airport, and clashes with light and medium weapons, between the presidential security forces and the forces loyal to the commander of the airport's security, Saleh al-Amiri, who rejected the decision of his dismissal, what led to the suspension of the Yemen Airways' flights to and from the airport for more than 10 days.
The security tensions caused tension in the relations between the Yemeni President, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the UAE, which oversees mainly on security forces in Aden since its liberation of the Houthis. Hadi failed to end this tension in a visit to Dhabi, last Tuesday.
