At the same time, another protest took place in front of the French embassy, denouncing the offensive cartoon of Prophet Mohammed who was featured naked in the French cartoon news paper Charlie Hebdo.
Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said in a short speech following the Friday prayer that there are minorities, who manipulate with the country’s security: “We will eliminate them. Do not ever support them. Do not cooperate with those who want to drag the country into sedition.”
The President called on the Egyptian nation to work hard and to have faith in God and the country’s resources and people.
Meanwhile, the former presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi announced from Abdeen Square in Cairo , the initiative of the popular tend in order to counter act the Muslim Brotherhood and balance the Egyptian political system.
Hundreds of citizens hoarded Abdeen Square to attend the founding conference of the popular trend, chanting patriotic songs.
The participants in the march raised banners on which it was written ‘The Egyptian popular trend’ and the name of Hamdeen Sabahi and his logo, the eagle, which was used during the last presidential elections. The march started at Talaat Harb Square then to Abdeen Square where the conference took place.
As for the expected events on Saturday, the Supreme Administrative Court of the State Council, headed by Judge Magdi Agati Vice of the state council, will resume the session of the parliament’s dissolving lawsuit. This is related to the appeals filed against the verdict of the Supreme Constitutional Court which ruled the illegality of the election law.
Abdel Moniem Abdel Maqsoud, the lawyer of the Muslim Brotherhood said: “All probabilities can happen in the session, whether to dissolve the whole Parliament or to dissolve only the independent one-third.” He stressed that in both cases there will be a final verdict.
The Supreme Administrative Court had halted last Friday the appeal until the Constitutional Court decided the unconstitutionality of some articles of the Parliament law.
Morsi will meet on Saturday noon a delegation from the medical unions at the presidential palace to discuss the financial and professional situation of the workers in the health sector and to be briefed on their complaints.
The unions expressed their wish to an urgent meeting with Morsi in order to solve the problems of the workers in the health sector and to present a better medical service to the citizens amid the current economical situation experienced by the country and to address the influences of corruption after the revolution on January 25.
