Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Joudah met Kuwaiti Prince Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah Amman – Osama al Rantissi Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah al-Nassour denied sending Jordanian soldiers to Kuwait to stop the popular protests that have recently spread in the country. The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported that Jordan received $6 billion from Kuwait to send 16,000 soldiers in order to intervene in the organised march on Sunday. Information has been leaked on Twitter about the involvement of Jordan and Saudi Arabia in the Kuwaiti protests to stop the opposition leaders.
Political analysts said that the protest of the Kuwaiti opposition was as important as the last march two weeks ago, where clashes erupted after some MPs attacked the Kuwaiti Prince. Some believe that there is an alliance between Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the USA to stop the democratic process in Kuwait.
Jordan has also been accused of planning to send judges to Kuwait in order to reform the laws to restrain the opposition without breaking the Constitution.
The Jordanian authorities have denied all the allegations. They met the Kuwaiti authorities to find out the source of these accusations.
The Kuwaiti newspaper Al Watan published a statement from Ummah parties which explained the importance of having an elected government given the situation in the Middle East.
On Sunday, Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Joudah met Kuwaiti Prince Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to discuss a number of issues, including the recent financial support granted to Jordan by Kuwait to develop the region.
