Iraqi fighter jets destroyed a number of headquarters of ISIS extremist group and killed dozens of the militants loyal to the extremist group in a number of areas in Nineveh. Media war cell revealed that the Iraqi air raids have been launched upon information from the intelligence authority, saying that the raids led to the killing of a large number of extremists and destruction of their equipment.

The air strikes led to the destruction of the group’s headquarters and the explosion of large amounts of light and heavy weapons in addition to a number of explosive belts, the media cell added. They also destroyed a laboratory for developing local weapons and rockets, in addition to the killing of dozens of extremist militants.

According to the cell’s statement, the strikes led to the destruction of a laboratory to bomb the wheels and killed seven extremists from different Arab nationals, adding that they also destroyed the equipment used by the extremists to bomb the wheels and vehicles.

In the same context, Security sources said on Friday six ISIS terrorists had been killed in US-led International Coalition strikes in western Ramadi. In a statement, Gen. Mahmoud Felahy, Commander-in-Chief of Anbar Operations said, "international coalition strikes destroyed an ISIS position in Akshat city, 310 km western Ramadi, and killed six terrorists".

He added that the eighth division of the Iraqi Army had killed six ISIS terrorists while infiltrating Karbala Province coming from Anbar. Meanwhile, ISIS fired mortar shells at an Iraqi army position in Ramadi with no casualties reported, according to security sources.

Federal Police arrested a female suicide-bomber who wore an explosive belt in central Baghdad on Saturday. The Police forces asserted that woman intended to blow herself up at Uqba ibn Nafi square in al- Karrada neighborhood in central Baghdad.

The Iraqi capital Baghdad is witnessing a state of insecurity and chaos as terror attacks target civilians. Terrorist groups like ISIS, IMIS and others are targeting the city by booby-trapped cars, suicide bombs and other terrorist means in which the residents are feeling insecure and furious.

On the political side, Iraqi parliamentarian Mohamed Al Karboli revealed that the Iraqi government should work to release 2900 Iraqis kidnapped by the extremist groups working in the country after its success to release the Qatari fishermen on Friday.

He added, in a press statement, that the success of Iraq’s government to release the Qatari fishermen supported them to renew their calls to the government for exerting more efforts during the coming period to release the Iraqis kidnapped by the extremist groups as soon as possible.
