Algerian Ministry of Defense revealed the details of military operations carried out by the Algerian army on late Saturday, as the military forces killed two extremists in the City of Constantine.
According to a statement issued by Algeria’s Ministry of Defense, the army installed a checkpoint at Wahash Mountains, adding that they managed to kill two extremists. It added that they involved in a number of terrorist attacks in the area.
During the military operation, the Algerian army managed to control a machine gun and large amounts of ammunition possessed by the extremist elements. The statement added that the operation came to prove the ability of the Algerian army to keep track of the remnants of extremist groups and to eliminate the criminals across the country.
The attack comes days after the frustration of an attempt from the terrorist elements to bomb an explosive belt in the same city, as it was targeting a security center.
ISIS extremist group revealed, in a statement published on social media networks, that it adopted the bombing witnessed in the Algerian city. The Algerian authorities stressed that the bombing led to the injury of two policemen.
One of the extremist element, killed during the recent military operation, was the emir of Strangers Battalion loyal to ISIS extremist group. terrorist leader called Aboul Haman was kill during the operation, adding that another terrorist element was also killed with him.
