Marches in Jordan protest against increasing unemployment and privatisation
Amman - Osama al-Rantissi
Marches in Jordan protest against increasing unemployment and privatisation Jordan's popular youth movements have organised peaceful protests following Friday prayers in 12 districts and provinces in the Kingdom, demanding reforms and measures to fight corruption.

The marches have been called under the banner: The Masks have Fallen", in reference to exposing the real face of the government and its unwillingness to carry out comprehensive national reform.
Rallies will take place in 12 provinces, including Jerash, Ajloun, Tafila, Irbid, Theban, Ma'an, Sahab, Shobak, Amman, and Kerak. The marches are in protest against the government's "procrastination policy" used in order to buy itself time. A joint statement by the protesting parties said that in order to uncover this policy; the movements have announced their  continued defence of the nation, unifying popular movements, as well as demanding reforms as the main goal of the protests.
The movements also expressed  their condemnation against arrests of its activists and journalists, and  calling for a halt in judicial proceedings against them before the State Security Court.
