Abu Dhabi - WAM
Yas Island is building on its growing reputation as one of the UAE's top destinations for tourists and creative business events by enhancing its offerings to the booming global business tourism industry. Yas Island's enhanced facilities for corporate events, including tailored packages to create unconventional and inspiring experiences, has seen it continue to attract both corporate groups and Destination Management Companies (DMCs), which recognise how Yas Island's diverse attractions complement each other. The peak in interest has also helped to increase Abu Dhabi's number of international tourists month-on-month over the past year. "With seven hotels and so many activities, Yas Island is a superb destination to host business events that offer something special - you can give your guests a modern or traditional welcome and integrate special activities including golf, motor racing and yachting," said Clive Dwyer for Yas Island. "Customers can host events that match the innovation of their businesses - it can encapsulate their creativity." Yas Island will further promote its facilities and entertainment attractions at the upcoming Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM), to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 24 to 26 March. The event will give exhibitors in industries including hospitality, food and entertainment a stage to connect with customers and industry professionals. During the exhibition, Yas Island will sponsor the GIBTM Networking Dinner at Yas Marina Circuit on 25th March where it will host 500 guests. Attendees will see how corporate events can be livened up on the island - a cluster of seven hotels with 57 restaurants, and sports and entertainment venues - through a tour of Yas Island and by dining on global cuisines at the famous Paddock Club. Dwyer added, "Visitors will find whether doing business on one of the world's most glamorous super yachts, treating top employees to professional golf tuition, fostering client and employee relationships during the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS GRAND PRIX, or booking out one of the region's leading theme parks for their next product launch or teambuilding initiative, anything is possible." Yas Island is strategically located seven minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport, 25 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi, 15 minutes from ADNEC and 45 minutes from the commercial hub of Dubai, making it accessible to a variety of regional and international markets. Travellers to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and even those in the UAE for just a stopover, can all enjoy convenient access to Yas Island.
