Seoul - WAM
Korea's leading trendy travel magazine featured tourism attractions of Abu Dhabi and Dubai in its latest hard copy edition as well as online edition on the recent visit of its editorial staff to UAE at the invitation of National Media Council. The publication widely circulated both wholesalers and retailers of tour programmes, not to mention general public, started with a lengthy story with photos about Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which it described as an absolutely stunning piece of architecture and pride of national heritage, thanks to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nayhan, who began the project and his tomb is also located on the grounds. The magazine introduced in details about a strong push towards the future now under way in Abu Dhabi showing two distinct cultures-old or more traditional and the modernity . While introducing Dubai's bid to host 2020 World Expo, the story took note of well-prepared infrastructures in Dubai for the global event, harmonious socioeconomic climate friendly towards multinational corporations and 200 plus nationalities now residing in the cosmopolitan city among others. The magazine then introduced in details about Masdar City with focus on the 10MW solar plant, consisting of 87,777 panels of thin film and crystalline silicon technologies, and connected to the Abu Dhabi National Grid. Masdar is Abu Dhabi's multi-faceted initiative advancing the development, commercialisation and deployment of renewable and alternative energy technologies and solutions. The company serves as a link between today's fossil fuel economy and the energy economy of the future - developing the "greenprint" for how we will live and work tomorrow, it added. Among other highlights of the special reports on UAE included Yas Island' Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Saadiyat Island which is being changed into cultural complex accommodating global cultures as well as UAE culture in harmonious manner.
