  Satun will host a grand southern tourism festival to promote tourism in five southern provinces during September 29 to October 3. Satun Governor Pisarn Thonglert revealed that the event will promote local tourism and products of Satun, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat. Three activities, including the halal food festival, the traditional game and Pencak Silat competitions between local Thai teams and Malaysian teams from provinces bordering on Thailand, as well as football tournament betweenThai and Malaysian teams, will be held. The governor said the activities will strengthen relations between Thais and Malaysians. The festival will, at the same time, promote tourism of the five provinces. He expected around 21 million baht to be in circulation during the grand event. From centerweb
