A Nigerian Air Force L-39 trainer jet aircraft from 303 Flying Training School in northern Kano, on a routine training exercise from Calabar to Uyo crashed on Friday near Uyo airport. There was no casualty. The two pilots in the jet aircraft are under observation. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Mohammed Dikko Umar, said he has spoken with the pilots who are in stable condition. Nigeria Air Force aircraft safety investigators are assessing the cause of the accident, Umar told reporters.
