Cairo - Qna
The tourism sector of Egypt’s Hurghada has witnessed a huge boost with the Red Sea resort’s hotels fully-booked during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays. Local tourists as well as others from the neighbouring Arab world are behind this huge turnout since the country’s January revolution, whereby numbers have reached the 100% mark in Hurghada and 90% in Marsa Alam, Egyptian tourism official, Hatim Muneer said in a statement issued here last night. Hotels and entertainment facilities in the resort, which offer visitors safaris, diving escapades, and traditional markets, have been offering tourists lucrative discounts and offers during the Eid holidays. The resort has also managed to provide jobs for some 70,000 Egyptians, the official added.
