E-passports centre issues 3,000 passports during 1 day

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti said that the biometric passports center, affiliated to the ministry, issued 3,000 passports in one day which is considered four times more than the normal issuance rates.
In a statement issued on Monday, Abdel Aatti underlined that this comes as part of efforts exerted by the center to meet the demands of the Egyptian expatriates, especially that old passports will expire in November.
