Cairo Governor Galal Said
Cairo - MENA

Cairo Governor Galal Said on Monday said the public buses in the governorate will transport citizens for free on Thursday.

The decision was taken on the occasion of the the new Suez Canal opening.

Egypt's flags and posters of the new canal raised in the buses to praise the national mega projects.

Egypt inaugurates the New Suez Canal on Thursday, which will massively increase the capacity of the existing canal and offer an important opportunity to boost the country’s struggling economy.

The 72-kilometer new project involves a 37-kilometer new waterway and deepening and expansion of the existing 145-year-old Suez Canal along a 35-kilometer stretch.
