Cairo-Aswan railway movement is back to normal after a 90-minute suspension due to an altercation among citizens in Beni Suef, said the Transportation Ministry Wednesday.

In a statement, the ministry said that it received a report which said that shots were fired between a number of residents in Beni Suef on Cairo-Aswan line.

Immediately, the train movement was suspended from both directions and the police were notified to follow up the incident, added the ministry.

Later on, the train movement returned to normal after the scuffle ended, said the ministry.
