British passenger held at airport for cash smuggling bid

Cairo airport authorities arrested a British passenger, of Egyptian origin, while trying to smuggle EGP 147,000 to Turkey.
The passenger was traveling to Istanbul when security bodies at the airport inspected his bag and found the cash inside.
The Egyptian law allows passengers to carry only EGP 5,000 during travel.
