Manager of Msaieed Industrial City in Qatar Petroleum Eng. Mohammed Jassim Al Baker and Chief Executive Officer of Barwa Real Estate Eng. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Subaie signed a Memorandum of Agreement, under which Barwa rents a land of 829.721 square meters from Qatar Petroleum, to turn it into a sea tourist resort in South Msaieed, Barwa said in a statement issued by (Qatar Exchange) Website. Barwa is soon expected to start conducting feasibility studies and detailed plans for the project as it's determined to turn the land into an entertainment tourist attraction in the country, established under the supervision of international consultants to ensure that the project complies with the highest standards of environmental safety, the ststement added. The Chief Executive Officer of Barwa Real Estate commented on the collaboration saying: "This dynamic project comes as part of our growth plans and in light of the new corporate strategy of Barwa Group, which focuses on implementing projects within the State of Qatar as a priority, encouraging diversity of activities and supporting tourism as one of the drives of the Qatari economy". The Manager of Msaieed Industrial City in Qatar Petroleum expressed his delight for this collaboration which aligns with the growth plans of Qatar economy, pointing out to the achievements which Barwa has accomplished in the real estate sector over the past few years. Eng. Al-Baker added: "This project will add a new strategic dimension to Msaieed Industrial City as a tourist attraction after being known as a leader in the Gas and Petrochemical industry on the local, regional and international levels. Barwa is one of Qatar's leading real estate and investment companies, established in 2005 with the mission of contributing to the sustainable growth of Qatar by investing in businesses, services and expertise.
