Aswan governorate received on Wednesday 260 Chinese tourists.
The Tourism Sector in the Governorate Head Abo el Hagag Kamal said that the tourists are scheduled to visit tourist and archaeological sites in Aswan then Luxor.
The hotel occupancy rate increased in the governorate during the last 48 hours.
Over the week, Aswan received about 1,000 Chinese tourists as well as tourists from various nationalities, Kamal noted.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had met in Beijing with number of representatives of Chinese tourist companies, where he announced that the tourist sites in Egypt are safe, said presidency spokesman Ambassador Alaa Yousef in December.
