Cairo – Khaled Ali
Singer Shereen Abdel Wahab has revealed the reasons behind why she's agreed to perform in concerts abroad recently: "I want to raise Egypt’s name and flag...the role of any Egyptian, whether an artist or not, is to make their country’s name shine everywhere.” Shereen said in a statement to Arabstoday: “I hope all Egyptians do their work as well as they can, especially at this turning point...that is what drove me to accept foreign concerts, because the credit will go to 'Egyptian' singer Shereen Abdel Wahab, which means that life is normal in Egypt.” She added “I wish President Mohammed Morsi all the best in his hard mission, and in implementing his electoral programme, because Egyptians deserve to live a happy life”.
