Yemen's Hadi receives UK envoy

Yemeni President Abdrabbou Mansour Hadi on Tuesday received UK Special Envoy to Yemen Alan Duncan.

Duncan delivered a congratulatory message from Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of Yemen's Unity Day.

During the meeting, Hadi and Duncan discussed bilateral relations and recent developments with regard to Yemen's peace talks, currently being held in Kuwait City.

Hadi hailed British efforts in support of Yemen at the level of bilateral relations and its firm positions in international forums to support Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy.

He also accused the Houthis militants of draining State resources for the benefit of their war without taking into account the needs of citizens.

For his part, Duncan affirmed his country's support for Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy represented by President Hadi.
