
Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, welcomed separately Horacio Cartes, President of Paraguay, Filip Vujanovic, President of Montenegro, and Luis Guillermo Solis, President of Costa Rica, at his palace in Zabeel on Tuesday.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, along with H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, discussed with President Cartes several issues related to the bilateral co-operation between the UAE and Paraguay, including the development of economic, investment and tourism opportunities, and encouraging the private sector in both countries to establish joint investments.
Sheikh Mohammed also discussed the development of bilateral relations between the UAE and Montenegro, including the creation of investment partnerships between the two countries, particularly in the private sector.
Sheikh Mohammed and President of Costa Rica exchanged views on prospects of economic, investment and tourism co-operation between the two countries.
President Solis invited Sheikh Mohammed to visit Costa Rica, and His Highness accepted it with a promise to fulfil it at the right time.
Sheikh Mohammed also stressed the importance of establishing balanced ties with the three countries, while promoting communication and developing co-operation in the fields of tourism, energy, real estate, transport, among others.
The Presidents of Paraguay, Montenegro and Costa Rica lauded the UAE's leading position in vital sectors like clean energy, infrastructure, tourism and urban development.
The meetings were attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs ,Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
