
Dr. Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, UAE ambassador to Australia, has met with Governor of the Australian state of Tasmania Kate Warner, during his official visit to the state.
During the meeting, they reviewed ways to strengthen co-operation in areas of tourism, economy and education, boost investment and cultural exchanges, and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Ambassador Al Ketbi praised the excellent relations between the two countries in various fields, stressing the keenness of the UAE government and people to support the bilateral relations with Australia.
He emphasised the importance of developing economic and trade relations, and to encourage joint investments, reiterating the importance of cooperation between the UAE companies and their Australian counterparts.
The Governor of Tasmania referred to the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, citing the regional and international status enjoyed by the UAE, thanks to the wise policies of its leadership that made the country a focus of world attention.
She stressed her government's keenness on supporting the economic and trade co-operation between the business communities in the state and the UAE, which is characterised by its flexible economy, and a popular destination for foreign investors due to its economic constituents.
