Sobhi meets with director of US Defence Security Cooperation Agency

Minister of Defense Sedki Sobhi met here on Thursday with visiting US Defense Security Cooperation Agency Director Joseph Rixey and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides took up a number of issues of common concern in light of military cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Armed Forces of both countries.

The Egyptian defense minister asserted the strength of the military ties binding Egypt and the US, hoping for more cooperation and coordination.

Rixey, for his part, lauded the Egyptian Armed Forces' efforts in maintaining the Arab national security and stability in the region, stressing the US's keenness to boost military cooperation with Egypt.
