
Kyrgyz Heritage Week, organised by the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, will kick off tomorrow and continues until 20th of May, within the institute's monthly agenda for World Heritage Week under the slogan, 'World Heritage in Sharjah'.
The Kyrgyz Heritage Week, which to be held in at the Sharjah Centre for Heritage Activities in Bait Al Gharbi, includes many events, programmes and activities, including a variety of heritage exhibitions of handcrafts, fashion, popular cuisine and folk music, among others.
Abdul Aziz Al Muslim, Chairman of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, said that the World Heritage Week organised by the institute reflects Sharjah's keen interest in highlighting the importance of heritage and the need for exchanging knowledge, expertise and experience in order to continue preserving and maintaining heritage, protecting it and shifting it to younger generations as a significant culturally component for each country, people and nation.
Al Muslim noted that the opening ceremony of the event will see the presence of the institute's president, representatives of the guest country, invited personnel, media and the public.
