
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt received yesterday His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
President El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Sultan and his accompanying delegation and discussed with him issues of mutual interest. He praised Sheikh Sultan's role in serving cultural, literary, arts and heritage activities.
Sheikh Sultan conveyed to President El-Sisi greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He lauded President El-Sisi's efforts in Egypt's journey for development and referred to the important role played by Egypt in the Arab world. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him since his arrival in Cairo.
Afterwards, President El-Sisi decorated Sheikh Sultan with the Order of the Republic, one of Egypt's highest awards, in recognition of his continuous support to Egypt.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Dr. Abdulwahid Al Nabawi, Egyptian Minister of Culture, Khalid Abdulaziz, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Cairo, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Protocol and Hospitality Department and Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority
