Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met with the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and a number of its representatives on Wednesday night to probe investment opportunities in the country.
During the meeting, the premier said political and economic conditions in Egypt have remarkably improved compared to last year as shown by international credit rating institutions, Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
Mahlab stressed the success of the Egypt Economic Development Conference, held in March.
Meanwhile, the chamber delegation said it will be heading to Washington on May 12 to participate in an economic event that will group over 300 American business and intellectual figures.
