Lebanese Interior Minister Meets UK Official

Lebanese Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nuhad Mashnouq, met on Tuesday with British Minister for Syrian Refugees, Richard Harrington.

    The meeting addressed Britain's plan to host 20 thousand Syrian refugees from Lebanon and the region.

    Harrington also underlined the UK's continued support to Lebanon, saying that his country "shall continue to carry out the required efforts to help Lebanon cope with crises resulting from hosting Syrian refugees." According to the UN refugees agency, over a million Syrian refugees are in Lebanon, while Lebanese officials say that the number has exceeded 1.5 million refugees.
