Jordanian minister, British ambassador discuss cooperation

Minister of Information and Communications Technology Majd Shweik discussed with British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden, ways to boost cooperation between the two countries in the information and communications technology field.

The minister briefed the British envoy on projects being implemented by the ministry, mainly the national broadband network project and stages of its implementation in the central and southern regions.

She pointed to the role of knowledge stations in rehabilitating the youth and providing all segments of the society with the opportunity to use information and communications technology as an effective tool for development.

The ambassador praised the strong ties between the two countries in various fields as well as the security and stability that prevail in the Kingdom.
