Jordan, US discuss agricultural ties

Agriculture Minister Akef Zu'bi on Tuesday discussed with Chairman of the US House of Representatives' Committee on Agriculture Michael Conaway, aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural field and ways to further boost them.

At the meeting, which was attended by the US Ambassador to Jordan Alice Wells, the two sides also reviewed challenges facing the agricultural sector in Jordan due to the current situation in the region as well as Jordan's role in achieving security and stability in the region.

The US official stressed the importance of promoting relations between Jordan and the United States in the interest of both countries.
