King Abdullah II of Jordan on Wednesday met China's State Councelor Wang Yong, who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom, Jordanian News Agency (Petra) reported. 
Talks during the meeting dealt with ties between the two countries and the need to cement them in various domains. 
King Abdullah and the Chinese official discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the cultural and tourism domains as well as bolstering security cooperation to fight terrorism. 
The meeting touched on the latest developments in the Middle East and at the international arena, and efforts to address challenges and boost international security and stability. 
China has a pivotal role to play in this regard, King Abdullah said. For his part, Yong stressed his country's keenness to boost cooperation in various domains.
