Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar met on Wednesday with visiting British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport Lord Tarik Ahmad.
During the gathering, Ahmed hailed the Egyptian role to achieve stability in the Middle East, especially with the high increase in the pace of conflicts and violent acts in the region.
Also, the British official asserted that his country is keen to boost security cooperation with Egypt, particularly in the field of combating terror groups.
He called for uniting international efforts to fight extremist thought of terror groups that use violence and killings to achieve financial and political gains and to destabilize countries in the region.
