GCC Foreign Ministers Meet Russian Counterpart in New York

Their Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the UN headquarters in New York.

The meeting was chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir, Chairman of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council, and with participation of GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and friendship relations between the GCC countries and the Russian Federation and ways of further promoting them in all areas.

They also discussed the latest developments in the region and means to end the current conflicts in order to maintain the region's security and stability, in addition to other issues of mutual concern.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the GCC countries and Russia in all fields, and to continue cooperation and coordination to serve common interests.
