
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met Mr. Guo Ping, the Deputy Chairman of the Board and rotating Chief Executive Officer of Huawei, at Gudaiybia Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the Kingdom’s dynamic and developing telecommunications sector, which he said was a key element of Bahrain’s vision for sustainable development. In this regard, His Royal Highness noted the wide-ranging measures that had been taken to liberalise and attract investment, as well as the significant contributions of the national workforce in developing the sector.
His Royal Highness praised Huawei’s contribution to the Kingdom’s telecommunications sector and its strong partnership with national telecommunications providers, noting that the telecommunications sector has become the biggest provider of employment opportunities for Bahrainis.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness and Mr. Guo Ping discussed Huawei’s progress in the region and around the world, as well as plans to expand their global footprint through advanced technologies and innovative solutions. The Crown Prince expressed his best wishes to the company in pursuing these objectives.
Mr. Guo Ping expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and welcomed his interest and support for the company and its future in the Kingdom’s promising telecommunications sector.
