Arab League chief meets United Nations envoy to Middle East peace process

Arab League chief Nabil el Araby met with the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov to discuss the latest developments in the peace process.
Mladenov has briefed the AL chief on the outcome of Quartet Committee report on the peace negotiations.
In statements following the meeting, Mladenov praised a role played by the pan-Arab body in supporting the peace process.
The meeting tackled ways to stop violence in the Palestinian territories and Israel and the need to take steps to improve the situation between both sides, he said.
