Arab foreign ministers start extraordinary meeting in Cairo

An extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council began at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo today at the level of foreign ministers, headed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE Anwar Gargash.

The Saudi delegation to the meeting was led by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, who is also his country's permanent representative to the Arab League.

The meeting, convened at the request of the Republic of Iraq, discussed developments regarding the Turkish military intervention inside Iraq, especially the Iraqi city of Mosul.
