
Acting Prime Minister, Mohammad Thunibat, Monday, welcomed Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, and discussed with him ways to further boost cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
At the meeting, attended by State Minister for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, and the Pakistani envoy in Amman, Thunibat, pointed to the Pakistan's supportive stance of Arab and Islamic issues. He also highlighted the strong ties between the two countries in the training and military domains.
The meeting also dealt with means to cement cooperation with Pakistan in the education field, challenges facing the Middle East and efforts being exerted to combat terrorism.
The Pakistani official expressed his country's interest to increase cooperation with Jordan, especially in the military domain.
He also praised His Majesty King Abdullah's leadership and wisdom in dealing with regional and global issues.
