
Minister of Culture Dr. Abdullah Obal Manthoq on Sunday headed for the Italian capital Rome on an official visit lasting several days. In a statement to Saba, Manthoq explained that the visit comes at the invitation of the Italian Ministry of Culture to discuss the bilateral cooperation in the field of the restoration of historic cities and the possibility of establishing a school in Sana’a concerned with training in this field, as well as discussing the possibility of signing a cooperation protocol between the two sides in the fight against the smuggling of antiquities. He pointed out that during the visit will also attend the graduation of the first batch of Yemeni trainees in Italy in the field of the restoration of historic cities and monuments.
