Wooden fence dwellings of Salar people in China

Dated from the Ming (1368-1644) ang Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, wooden fence dwellings have played an important role in Salar people's daily life. Salar people's wooden fence dwellings, named after the vine-knitted walls, are of great value in the study of Salar people's economy, culture and history.
