A parade of warships and submarines took place in the Amursky Bay on Sunday as part of the Russian Navy Day celebrations in the southeastern city of Vladivostok.
The parading flotilla, which belongs to the Russian Pacific Fleet, was led by guided-missile cruiser Varyag and consisted of amphibious assault ships, anti-submarine ships, submarines and other vessels.
For the first time, the audience had a chance to watch a presentation of deep-water rescue vehicle AS-30.
Beside the parade, a theatrical show was also organized to showcase the unique military equipment and combat skills of Russian naval forces and marines.
The Russian Pacific Fleet is one of the most strategically important naval formations in the Pacific Rim, with its headquarters located in Vladivostok.
The Navy Day is one of the main holidays in Vladivostok, which has been celebrating it for 75 years.
