Kiev - Xinhua
The sixth Art-Kiev Contemporary Fair, one of the largest exhibitions in Eastern Europe, began in the Ukrainian capital on Tuesday. This year's fair features collections from more than 30 contemporary galleries from Tokyo, Warsaw, Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Kiev and elsewhere. A unique retrospective exhibition "Nagaya" created by six Japanese artists, which was accepted in the Museum of Modern Art in Dusseldorf, Germany, was presented in Ukraine for the first time. Alexander Soloviev, curator of the Art Arsenal Museum in Kiev, presented a special Ukrainian project "No Limits", symbolizing the freedom of creativity and the openness of art to society. Lectures, workshops, and performances by Ukrainian and foreign artists will also be held during the art fair. The art fair will continue until Nov. 13, with up to 200,000 visitors expected.
