A new policy will be adopted to fight against poverty in Algeria, said Monday in Souk Ahras (650-km southeast of Algiers) Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Affairs, Mounia Meslem.
During an inspection visit with Belgian Ambassador to Algeria Frederic Meurice of an Algerian-Belgian partnership project for fight against poverty and exclusion in the border commune of Sidi Fradj, the minister underlined that her department will make every effort to "help the underprivileged, who are currently receiving aid, by enabling them to have access to permanent jobs."
The support programme has allowed to improve the management of social services and programmes in Sidi Fradj, which is among the five poorest communes of the country.
