Syrian clarinetist and City Band at El-Genaina Theatre

Formed in 2006 in New York, Kinan Azmeh’s City Band immediately gained recognition for their virtuosic and high energy performances. Born in Damascus in 1976, Kinan Azmeh graduated from the Damascus Higher Institute of Music. In 2000, he  moved to New York City and graduated from the Juilliard School. As soloist and composer, Kinan Azmeh has performed in many prestigious concert halls around the world and cooperated with renowned musicians such as Canadian pianist Dinuk Wijeratne, Marcel Khalife, Zakir Hussein, Daniel Barenboim and others.from ahram online.
