South Korea's oldest Buddhist pagoda to undergo complete repair

The government on Tuesday formally kicked off a project to restore the nation's oldest and largest Buddhist pagoda in existence close to the state it was in before it was last disassembled for repair about a century ago. The stone pagoda in the Mireuk Temple in the southern provincial city of Iksan is presumed to be from the 7th-century Baekje period (18 BC-668 AD).
